• Solid vs. Stranded:

  • Solid core – best for permanent in-wall/ceiling runs.

  • Stranded – used in patch cables for flexibility.

• Material:

  • 100% Bare Copper – recommended for full performance & PoE.

  • CCA (Copper-Clad Aluminum) – lower-cost alternative, higher resistance, less suitable for long runs or PoE.

• Spline: Internal cross-filler (in many CAT6 cables) reduces crosstalk for stronger signal integrity.

• Jacket: PVC for indoor use; UV-resistant PE for outdoor applications.
